CJ OliveNetworks Takes Part in the 2017 Data Magic WeekCJ OliveNetworks has revealed its participation in the 2017 Data Magic (Marvelous Analysis & Great Idea Challenge) Week conference, which was held at the InterContinental Seoul COEX from November 7 to 9, 2017.
Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and managed by the National Information Society Agency, Korea Data Agency, and the Korea Association for ICT Promotion, the 2017 Data Magic Week is the largest data-related event in Korea with a focus on big data, the IoT, AI, and other latest developments in the data industry.
The conference started with an opening ceremony on November 7, followed by the “Big Data Conference,” where the latest examples of big data and data-related business projects were shared. The “Big Data Exhibition” and the “DB-Stars Awards” utilized programs, such as platform and service experiential programs from major data companies, to discuss the latest trends, information, and policy developments in data-related industries.
The contribution of CJ OliveNetworks to the conference was the reports of its “Food B2B Data Trade and Mediation Pilot Project.” The “Food Materials Data Distribution Platform,” which is slated to open on January 2018, is the only data platform in Korea that focuses on group catering, food services, and other B2B food provisions. The platform utilizes the food supply data from CJ Freshway and the data obtained from online (SNS, web) platforms to provide information on the demand and supply of food ingredients as well as customized data services that are based on consumers.
Senior Manager So-yi Jung of CJ OliveNetworks’ Big Data Department also presented the development process of the “Food Materials Data Distribution Platform” during the “Big Data Innovation Congress,” which is an event that focuses on the results of livestyle big data flagship pilot projects. Senior Manager Jung’s presentation delved into the nature of data that are commercialized by the “Food Materials Data Distribution Platform,” methods of affiliate cooperation, data processing and analysis, service provision, and the expected results of the “Food Materials Data Distribution Platform.”
Senior Manager Jung further commented: “I am honored to be able to introduce our “Food Materials Data Distribution Platform” in Korea’s largest big data event.” He added: “We were able to confirm the public’s awareness of the importance of data trading and distribution through the enthusiasm of the participants, and we were also able to provide an effective demonstration of our technology and capabilities.” (End)
