Collective Impact
We carry out various projects to increase social value in cooperation with organizations in various sectors, such as social ventures, NPOs, public institutions, and civic groups.
Creating Jobs for "Grandmas" and Improving the Living Environment at Orphanages
We crowdfunded a social contribution project with handicrafts made by elderly women who work at Marco Roho. With the raised funds, we paid the senior workers for their work and the remaining proceeds were used to carry out the social contribution project to improve the living environment at orphanages to promote the health of children.
Working together with social ventures, RVFIN, Kokkirigongjang, and Lazure Korea, our executives and employees visited three orphanages, decorated the walls using a Lazure painting method, and disinfected the facilities, and donated toys repaired by executives and employees at CJ OliveNetworks.
Live Commerce to Help Farmers Facing Difficulties Caused by COVID-19
In order to help local farmers who are having difficulties in distributing agricultural products due to COVID-19, we conducted live commerce in cooperation with the Sangsaeng Store run by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which distributes and sells quality local products, and local governments. Through advertisements on CJ ONE, CJ’s membership platform with 28 million members, and live broadcasting on Live Latte, a live commerce platform operated by CJ OliveNetworks, we actively supported the online distribution of agricultural products by local farmers.
Standing Together Snowman Red Clay Pocket Warmer KIT
We collaborated with Zero Space Inc., a sustainable design social enterprise, to develop the Standing Together Snowman Ocher Pocket Warmer KIT, and the Jongno Self-Reliance Center, which supports the self-reliance of local residents, took charge of the production of the kits. The Snowman Pocket Warmer uses natural red clay balls as fuel instead of consumable fuels and is washable, which has an environmental value in that it can be used semi-permanently. Our executives and employees made a total of 500 warmers, wrote a message of hope, and donated them to our six partner social welfare centers.
