[CJ OliveNetworks = March 26, 2019 (Tuesday)] CJ OliveNetworks’ IT Business Division (
www.cjolivenetworks.co.kr, CEO Lee Kyung-bae) announced that it held a ceremony to donate IT equipment to an elementary school in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, to build smart classrooms.
The donation event held on March 25 (Monday) was particularly meaningful because the division was joining CJ Group’s global CSR activities, and it was the first activity of CJ OliveNetworks’ Office in Vietnam held with a local elementary school with which it has built sisterhood relations. An IT start-up fever is sweeping Vietnam among the millennial generation, but the infrastructure and educational opportunities are far lacking that most of them are not benefiting from proper education.

Le Long Hau, an officer of the Office of Education of Huyen Can Gio Principal Tran Thi Le Thu of Long Thanh Elementary School; President Jang Myeongsu of CJ OliveNetworks’ Office in Vietnam and approximately 350 students of the school participated in the ceremony.

We will continue to practice win-win activities with the local Vietnamese society, starting with this event, to aid poor environments and train future talents,” said Jang Myeongsu, the chief manager of the Office in Vietnam.
CJ OliveNetworks established the Office in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh in September 2017, and the office is leading the expansion of the company’s overseas businesses with localization strategies based on a differentiated technological competency and business capability. (End)
