[CJ OliveNetworks, September 29, 2021] CJ OliveNetworks (CEO Cha In-hyeok) will build the Disaster Response Resource Integrated Management System for the Ministry of Public Administration and Security (Minister Jeon Hae-cheol), which is one of the main projects of the government's Digital New Deal.

Resource management for disaster response has been increasingly important as nation-wide disasters resulting from climate change or new infectious diseases such as COVID-19 have become more complex and larger in scale in recent years.

The intelligent, integrated disaster responsere source management system (DRRMS) that CJ OliveNetworks will build with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MIS) is a core project to establish an integrated management system which will allow prompt response and management of material and human resources during natural disasters.

CJ OliveNetworks was chosen for its prowess and a good track record of building logistics and distribution systems, know-how of systematically operating large-scale SI businesses and more than 900 IT experts and technical manpower optimized for the task.

The DRRMS will utilize proven solutions in the private distribution and logistics sectors to build a standard information management system, a supply chain management system, an integrated logistics management system, and a mobile field management system. The company will also develop systems including a mobilization command and control system, an integrated control system, and an internal/external portal system specialized for the field operations.

The project will last for 24 months, and the integrated system will be built and verified in the first year and the system upgrade with new technologies will follow in the second year.

CJ OliveNetworks plans to use its state-of-the-art ICT technology to collect and analyze big data from resources, new supply chains, and disaster logistics systems based on each type of disaster, then develop ML-based AI functions to optimize resource preservation and logistics plans and propose mobilization orders.

In 2023 when the DRRMS is in place, it will allow a quick decision-making process during a disaster by visualizing and accurately analyzing the result values for demand forecasting and simulation review and help rapid disaster responses by timely allocating disaster resources.

It will also help improving collaboration with logistics companies for large-scale disasters, contributing to the disaster safety industry.

“For seamless implementation and operation of the DMS project, we are also working to improve the related laws and regulations. We have high expectations for this project as CJ OliveNetworks has the know-how and cutting edge ICT technology in logistics and distribution,” said HeoJeong-hee, head of the disaster resource management division at the MIS.

“We will build an integrated management system for effective disaster responses using our system building know-how and new DT technologies such as big data and AI. We are committed to building a successful K-disaster prevention model, we will spare no effort for this major project of the government’s Digital New Deal,” said Cha In-hyeok, CEO of CJ OliveNetworks.
