CJ OliveNetworks to Partner with Korea University Guro Hospital for Digital Wellness Business

-Signed an agreement with Korea University Guro Hospital for joint industry?academe?researchcenter?hospital research and business ecosystem establishment

-To develop digital wellness business models based on digital transformation(DT) technologies and provide consulting for medical verification

-To discover promising startups for building an ecosystem and participate ingovernment projects jointly

 

(CJOliveNetworks = April 8, 2021 [Thursday]) CJ OliveNetworks CEO Cha In-hyoksigned an agreement for digital wellness business with Korea University GuroHospital’s Hospital-based Business Innovation Center (HBIC, Director SongHae-ryong).

 

Thesigning ceremony was held at the hospital’s HBIC Smart Work Center on April 7. CJOliveNetworks CEO Cha In-hyok, HBIC Director and Professor of Orthopedics SongHae-ryong, Cardiovascular Center Professor Park Chang-gyu, and otherrepresentatives participated in the ceremony.

 

KoreaUniversity Guro Hospital is an “institution managing HBIC” selected by theKorean Ministry of Health and Welfare. As such, it engages in projectsfostering and supporting startups in the public health field by conducting jointresearch with companies.

 

CJOliveNetworks plans to pursue new business in the digital wellness and health carefield by cooperating and holding joint research with the academe, researchcenters, and hospitals.

 

Thecompany also plans to develop business models in the same field based onartificial intelligence (AI), big data, and other new DT technologies, whileKorea University Guro Hospital will form a body of experts to provideconsulting on clinical testing and medical verification.

 

Inaddition, both institutions agreed to discover startups and develop businessmodels to participate in government projects and engage in strategic openinnovation businesses.

 

“Ascustomers’ interest in health grows and the digital senior generation emerges, thedemand for health data and digital health devices continues to increase … Wewill discover differentiated medical and wellness services by building acooperative model that connects hospitals with companies, the government, anduniversities,” said CJ OliveNetworks CEO Cha In-hyok.
