(CJ OliveNetworks = May 13, 2021 [Thursday])CJ OliveNetworks CEO Cha In-hyok announced on May 13 that it showcased “WorkScan” as an integrated mobile human resources remote management solution forlocal managers and workers.

“Work Scan” is a solution that enablesthe convenient use of integrated personnel management services, such as signinglabor contracts, punching time cards, calculating wages, and scheduling work, with just one application. It is optimized for companies in need of localmanagement, such as personnel management of diverse departments, shops, and baseoffices.

Although companies’ workingenvironments are becoming flexible with telecommuting, among others, because ofCOVID-19’s impact, some workers still have to work in the field. As such, it isbecoming important to create an environment where local workers’ rights areprotected and where they can work more safely.

Local employees’ work is usuallyrecorded with fingerprint recognition technology and beacon. However, themaintenance and management of fingerprint recognition hardware devices can bedifficult, and beacon can infringe on personal information rights because ofthe collection of sensitive information.

In contrast, “Work Scan” uses a GPSand QR code certifying method, which requires neither the collection ofpersonal information nor the maintenance and repair of certifying devices, while making it possible to manage dutiful work precisely. Workers can registertheir work schedule in line with the 52 hr workweek rule under the LaborStandards Act, immediately share the schedule with other colleagues, and simplychange it when in need of rescheduling.

In addition, labor contracts, e(electronic)-documents,and other documents related to labor contracts that had to be processedpersonally in writing in the presence of both managers and workers, can now beprocessed remotely in the form of e-documents, making it easy to adhere to quarantinerestrictions and hygiene, as well as cut unnecessary management costs.

Furthermore, overtime pay according toactual working hours, withholding tax, and the premium cost of the four basicinsurances can be automatically reflected to precisely calculate the breakdownof individual wages.

The solution comes in two types, namely, on-premise building and cloud service, and customers can chooseaccording to their needs. In particular, the cloud service type can be usedwithout separate building costs and by paying according to the amount used, thereby minimizing expenses for small-scale companies.

CJ Group’s subsidiary companiesintroduced the solution last year, and its use is now expanding to food andbeverage businesses, famous Korean franchise companies, and other externalclients.

“As the application of the 52 hrworkweek rule will be expanded to businesses with less than 49 employeesstarting July, the settlement of a stable working culture in micro enterprisesand SMEs has become all the more important … They can efficiently manage theirpersonnel and simply process tedious work with Work Scan alone, without aseparate exclusive workforce,” said CJ OliveNetworks’ Solution and ServiceBusiness Team Head Choi Byung-seok.

Work Scan currently offers a one-monthfree trial promotion to all clients requesting the service. Promotion details canbe found on the official Work Scan website (www.workscan.net)or app, downloadable on Google and Apple Stores. (The end.)
