CJ OliveNetworks announced on the 28th that it had launched the API marketplace platform
'API PLEX,' which allows users to use data, APIs, and other solutions needed
for business at once.
API Flex was opened as a beta version in
October of last year, and after targeting the CPaaS (Cloud-based Communications
Platform as a Service) market, it drew attention from the industry by
successfully expanding its API business, including the expansion to about 30
partnerships and diversification of service models.
API (Application Program Interface), a
method for exchanging data in applications, is a standard created for users to
easily access and share information. Companies can simply use the necessary
information by receiving calls in the form of APIs that are needed for service
operation and development.
In comparison to the beta version, API
Flex, which was officially released, actively reflects customer needs by adding
APIs from various industries necessary for business, such as AI services and
public data and strengthening communication channel services.
By including ‘ChatGPT’, which has recently
received enormous attention, and Ali GPT, an AI chatbot service using it, the ‘AI
Market’ has expanded the range of AI-related options such as logistics
optimization, virtual human, audio and video source separation solution, HR
data-based retirement prediction model solution, AI document comprehension solution,
etc.
In the case of the public data, real-life
information that customers need, such as the Seoul Metropolitan City’s traffic
information, apartment lease and monthly rent information, nationwide hospital
and pharmacy information, and fine dust warning, can be easily utilized through
the service API.
In particular, the integrated communication
API is the only product in Korea which is made based on business know-how and
capabilities in IT-based marketing service which CJ OliveNetworks has
accumulated for more than 15 years and has a competitive edge through
diversification of its lineup.
From the next-generation communication
service RCS (Rich Communication Service) to Naver Talk Talk, Kakao Alim Talk,
and web/app push services, APIs can be easily used depending on the purpose. In
addition, it provides global messages that cover more than 220 countries, such
as Whatsapp and Viber, to support customer communication channels for companies
going abroad.
API Flex will also start operating a
dedicated blog in line with the launch of the platform. In addition to the information
to support service use, such as detailed descriptions of API products and how
to actually call and utilize APIs, it plans to provide various useful
information related to marketing and IT-and support successful customer
business.
In addition, in commemoration of the
release of API Flex, CJ OliveNetworks is carrying out a promotion that offers
up to 10% discount on all service usage fees until 2023 for new customers who
have signed up by April 30th.
“Since the open beta last year, interest
and expectations from customers and industry officials have been high with
continuous supplementation of service such as stabilization of the system, improvement
of the billing system, etc. and diversification of the API products,” said Nam
Seung-woo, Head of the SaaS Business Team at CJ OliveNetworks. “We will strive
to make the cloud-based API total platform API Flex leap forward as an
important platform in the data ecosystem.”
