Realizing “Smart Office” with the 3-Less Approach: Wireless, Paperless, and Borderless

- Strategic Location at the Heart of Seoul Is Expected to Enhance Efficiency and Synergy with Affiliate Firms

The IT Division of CJ OliveNetworks has announced the expansion and relocation of its headquarters to Twin City Tower, located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on February 20.

This relocation brings together the staff members of CJ OliveNetworks into a single building, and is also expected to enhance the efficiency and synergy with the affiliate firms in Seoul because of its central location.

The new office will also integrate the “3-less” approach, or Wireless, Paperless, and Borderless systems, to realize the “Smart Workplace” environment for the members.

The “3-less” system uses wireless communication installed throughout the headquarters to support innovation and efficiency, and replaces all paperwork with electronic documentation. The system also allows for the partial abolition of strict seating arrangements and partitions in the office and instead consents to “free seating,” where office members can select their own place for the day. This system is expected to provide a more flexible environment for the members, thereby maximizing communication among them.

The new office also offers common lounges, female-only rest areas, cafeterias, and CJ OliveNetworks IT Academy to cater to the needs of the employees as well.

CEO Kyung-bae Lee commented “We hope that this relocation will not only maximize synergy with our affiliates but also create a smart office that will result in creativity and autonomy in our employees through the new 3-less system.” Lee also pledged that “We at CJ OliveNetworks will continue to work toward customer satisfaction through our unique efforts at innovation and cooperation with our affiliates.”

Employees of CJ OliveNetworks have also banded together at the “Dongja Welfare Center” to visit senior citizens in need; they brought with them instant noodles, rice cakes, hot packs, and other winter supplies. After the visit, the employees helped clean up the nearby areas to cap off the relocation of the headquarters with a significant start.

The cadre also climbed Namsan together and left their wishes for their respective departments for this year on the wishing lock wall of the mountain.
