CJ OliveNetworks will
build a smart logistics center for Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital
(Director Lee Sang-don).
As part of being an innovative hospital for
the future, Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital plans to build an automated
warehouse and logistics management system for smart logistics centers on a
scale of 5,400㎡ (including the common
area) behind the hospital building so as to improve the treatment environment
for medical staff and efficiently store and supply medical products.
The automated warehouse for pharmaceutical
products at the smart logistics center is capable of storing more than 110,000
packages of pharmaceutical products, and a 3D cube-shaped automated warehouse
will also be introduced to become the first smart hospital in Korea to implement
logistics automation.
CJ OliveNetworks has carried out projects
for building a smart logistics center and system in various fields such as the construction
of an unmanned smart logistics center in Pyeongtaek for Korea Pharmaceutical Industry
Cooperative (PICO Innovation) and application of 5G specialized networks in the
logistics center of CJ Logistics Icheon Fulfillment Center, etc. for the first
time.
To build a successful smart logistics
center, CJ OliveNetworks will be responsible for
everything from designing customized
automation facilities and systems reflecting the characteristics of the
hospital to building and maintaining an integrated management system and carry
out the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) project.
In the smart logistics center, ▲a 3D cube-type automated warehouse for storing
surgical materials and medical supplies, ▲an automated warehouse for managing pharmaceutical
products, and ▲automated facilities and processes that combine AI and robots such
as the automated system for warehousing of linens and DT technologies will be established.
In addition, it integrates and manages safety
inventory for medicines, medical supplies, and linens and automation facilities
in the hospital and supports the establishment of a logistics management system
that can be linked with the existing hospital system.
CJ OliveNetworks plans to introduce leading
cases in global hospital logistics into the business by employing experts in
smart logistics and launch the project in June.
Through the smart logistics center, Pusan
National University Yangsan Hospital can maximize the storage efficiency for
pharmaceutical products, reduce the inventory burden through history management
of pharmaceutical products, and improve the efficiency of human resources management.
At the agreement ceremony held at Pusan
National University Yangsan Hospital on the 30th, where Cha In Hyok, CEO
of CJ OliveNetworks, and Lee Sang-don, head of the hospital, were present, both
companies signed an MOU and a business contract for mutual cooperation related
to smart medical services.
“We plan to build a smart logistics center that meets customer needs by intensively employing experts in logistics automation with experience in analysis of hospital process and utilizing one-stop logistics automation capabilities from design to construction, operation, and maintenance,” said the manager of CJ OliveNetworks' Smart Manufacturing Logistics.
