CJ OliveNetworks will provide HDR10+ conversion service, the next-generation picture quality technology, to KT's IPTV service, Genie TV.

HDR10+ is a high-definition video technology that optimizes brightness and contrast ratio to realize accurate color expression. It is characterized by applying dynamic metadata that automatically sets image information for each scene to maintain constant video quality even when the scene changes.

CJ OliveNetworks, in cooperation with Samsung Electronics, succeeded in verifying the technology for converting existing video content to HDR10+ version for the first time. Since then, starting with the movie 'Voice', TVing's original contents 'Seoul Check-in', 'The King of Pigs', 'Drinking City Women', and 'Mystery' have been converted into HDR10+ exclusive content. The HDR10+ conversion content provided to KT this time is Genie TV's original drama 'Paper Moon.'

KT highly evaluated CJ OliveNetworks' broadcasting technology over a number of years and content service know-how such as content processing, reproduction, and distribution optimized for the platform.

CJ OliveNetworks has strength in upscaling technology that improves picture quality so that it can maintain clear picture quality even when the video size increases. Using color grading equipment specialized in image quality correction, it is produced in three steps: noise removal, upscaling, and sharpness adjustment.

The remastered video optimizes the brightness and contrast ratio for each scene to provide a richer color and three-dimensional effect, and even in dark scenes, textures, shapes, and colors are vividly implemented so that viewers can enjoy more immersive content.
