CJ
OliveNetworks won a contract to build a UHD system for the National Assembly
Broadcasting TV’s third sub-control room, worth approximately 4 billion won,
creating an environment for production of high-definition content.
CJ
OliveNetworks has successfully completed more than 70 cases of building broadcasting
systems and transfers of infrastructure over the past five years, including relocation
of TBS headquarters in Seoul, KBS UHD transmission system, UHD system for Digital
Magic Space of Korea Creative Content Agency Sangam, and broadcasting
information system for the Arirang TV.
The project
for building a UHD system for the National Assembly TV’s third sun-control room
this time was also highly evaluated for CJ OliveNetworks' accumulated business
know-how and capabilities in broadcasting media.
By
December, CJ OliveNetworks will introduce a total of 29 new systems in three
areas, including △replacement
and upgrade of the HD production system, △establishment
of a UHD broadcasting system, and △advancement
of the UHD graphics system for the for the National Assembly TV and will
perform197 infrastructure equipment installations and 2,100 interface
integration tasks.
In
particular, by building an integrated interface at all stages from camera
shooting to transmission, a stable system that takes into account not only
compatibility but also a base for future expansion will be promoted. In the
case of hardware, the reliability of technical support is guaranteed by
introducing the highest quality hardware equipment through an internally developed
5-step equipment performance verification process.
The
cramped and uncomfortable operating desk space in the National Assembly TV’s
third sub-control room will also be improved. The multi-viewer-based real-time
monitoring screen will be accommodated for easy changes, and the human traffic for
operation will be expanded by rearranging the console desk space for video,
audio, lighting, and CG.
This
allows for a wide-view environment for content production and increased space
efficiency, allowing more people to work.
CJ
OliveNetworks also operates response scenarios to prepare for unexpected
broadcasting accidents. It analyzes the possibility and impact of failures
depending on the situation, such as hardware, software, and network and
supports urgent recovery of the broadcasting system based on the emergency
response manual.
By
establishing a UHD system in the third sub-control room, including improvement
of the broadcast production environment by replacing existing outdated
equipment and introducing the latest technology and providing high-quality
broadcasting based on UHD, it is expected that the National Assembly TV will
raise its status as Korea’s leading public broadcasting.
